These young ladies in their finery are entertaining guests at the reception of a wedding. Grandmother took their picture and said to me "wouldn't this make a perfect painting?" Well, yes, it would. Finally finished!

It is good to get back in the studio and back to work after the holidays. Watching a painting develop under my brush is pure satisfaction!

This painting is from a darling photo of a friend's grandchildren and is progressing nicely. You may notice the 'Scott Mattlin' (www.scottmattlin.com) influence on the hair. I am planning nice thick paint on the dresses and we will see how that develops.
