Artist Statement

My love of being and my love of life come exploding from my brush. When my love of my children, my husband, and my family becomes one with my muse – it is magic and it is worth the time and struggle that it took to get here. I hope that the emotion is somehow communicated to whomever views the art and even if it is not on a conscience level it resonates in the soul.

Biography

Shirley Quaid, moved in 2006 to the Houston area from Wewoka, Oklahoma. She maintains a studio in Humble, TX where she has spent most of 2006 completing several commissions in oil and acrylic.

"My art education will never end as each new painting brings new insights. Connecting to my muse and shutting the outside influences out brings both energy and tranquility. I hope that it is revealed to some degree to those who view my art."

Her work is in private collections in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Florida.
